QuickTech ™️©️®️: Chirp Chirp Go The Burrs with the Mahlkonig X54!

Are your coffee ground coarser than boulders on a mountain? Is your brew as fast as the water you’re pouring? You could be entitled to a QuickTech ™️©️®️ Tech Tip. Take a knee and let Josh take you on a journey of discovery, reflection, and grind calibration with the Mahlkonig X54 Allround Home Grinder.

· Clear hopper of beans & and grind off remaining in the chamber. 

· Turn the hand wheel until the grinder adjustment scale is at its finest setting on 1.

· Unlock the hand wheel by pushing in the cover and rotating it counter clockwise.

· Take off the cover and parts and pull out the hand wheel.

· Rotate the hand wheel clockwise until it is at position 10 and push the hand wheel back in.

· Rotate the jog dial to manual grinding and start the grinder.

· Begin to turn the hand wheel counter clockwise until the burrs begin touching and you hear a faint “chirping” sound.

· Stop the grinder. 

· Pull out the hand wheel and rotate it counter clockwise so the adjustment scale is at 1.

· Push the hand wheel back in and rotate clockwise 4 marks on the adjustment scale to set the grinder at factory setting.

· Pull out the hand wheel once more and rotate it counter clockwise so the adjustment scale reads 1.

· Push the hand wheel back in and place the cover and parts back on the hand wheel rotating clockwise.

· Adjust to your desired grind size with your freshly calibrated X54, throw some beans back in the hopper, and start grinding!
